Pyle PBMSPG100 and PBMSPG200
This model, nicknamed the Street Blaster, is being sold right now in the year 2015. It is yet another imitation of the classic JVC Kaboom, an example of which is shown here.
The Pyle is 24.5 inches long and catches the eye with pulsating lights (blue on the PBMSPG100, and orange on the PBMSPG200). It does not have a CD or cassette player. Rather, it provides both Bluetooth and NFC wireless streaming, as well as USB input, 3.5mm input, and guitar inputs. You can record onto a USB drive. The PBMSPG200 also has an FM radio tuner, which the PBMSPG100 lacks.
The speakers are located on each side of the boombox. The front side features knobs for Bass, Treble, Echo, Volume, Mic & Guitar Levels. There is also an FM radio display on the PBMSPG200. On the back side are two bass-reflex ports. For power, you can plug it into the wall or use the included lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Not surprisingly, it can go louder when it's plugged into the wall.
It claims to produce 1000 watts, which in my opinion is a complete fabrication. It's a shame the government can't force these companies to tell the truth.
